Medical Supporter Community Formed by hospital staff who banded together during the initial zombie outbreak, this community is dedicated to restoring healthcare in the apocalypse. Interestingly, a film crew shooting at the hospital during the outbreak joined forces with them, contributing to their efforts. The Outlaws of Sand Creek: The Masked Band Notorious for their violent acts and atrocities, the Masked Band is a group of outlaws occupying survivor community settlements in Sand Creek by force. Hiding their identities behind masks, their true motives and leadership remain unknown. Unveiling the World of the Apocalypse Welcome to the zombie apocalypse world. In this newsletter, we introduce the survivors to the defining characteristics of zombies, the beings that plunged the world of Darkest Days into darkness, as well as the background of the zombie apocalypse. The Masters of the Apocalypse: Zombies The true rulers of the Darkest Days apocalypse world are zombies. Zombies are extremely sensitive to sound and can spread the deadly zombie virus with mere contact with humans. While infection can be cured using Infection Cure Shots, many people were unable to secure these treatments during the early days of the apocalypse and could not escape their fate of turning into zombies. Some zombies have mutated into more bizarre and powerful forms due to unique environmental factors. Before venturing into the apocalypse, learn about these zombies and prepare for their attacks. Ruptures emit toxic gas from their bodies to attack survivors. They also explode on death, so be sure to keep your distance when dealing with them. Squitos may appear ordinary, but they have overwhelming agility, enabling them to evade attacks and launch terrifying charges. Be cautious as to avoid being knocked down by their assaults. Howlers are mutants that not only attack with menacing mucus but also threaten survivors with deafening roars. Eliminate them quickly before you are detected. Darkest DaysApocalypse Timeline 2016 2016 A few years before the zombie outbreak, research aimed at preventing aging and extending life began, led by several corporations. During this time, a phenomenon was discovered in the Japan Trench, where large numbers of fish were seen swimming while dead, prompting intensive research into the occurrence. 2023 2023 Researchers later discovered that a virus isolated from the dead-swimming fish known as the 'Mariana Snailfish' triggered cellular self-repair. This virus was named the 'Blessing of Nature (BON)' and became a symbol of humanity's fight against aging. 2024 2024 While experiments on the BON virus were actively progressing, all experiments were abruptly halted, and research data was destroyed. Then, in 2025, a shocking incident occurred where humans began attacking and eating each other. However, this was just the prelude to the zombie apocalypse that would engulf the world.
